Everton are trying to sign another midfielder after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s impending transfer from Chelsea.
Dewsbury-Hall has undergone a medical at Finch Farm ahead of a £25m switch from the Club World Cup champions.
David Moyes has been keen to sign a goal-scoring midfielder since he returned to the club in January, and now, finally, he’s set to get his wish.
But, Moyes and his chiefs aren’t done yet, as they remain in the market for another number eight, having already had a bid rejected for one target.

Everton ‘determined’ to sign Dion Lopy
Everton’s midfield ranks are still pretty light even after Dewsbury-Hall’s arrival.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Orel Mangala leaving means there is a pressing need to get at least two through the door.
And, that’s exactly what Everton are trying to do, as according to wiwi sport, they’re ‘determined’ to sign Almeria midfielder Dion Lopy.

It’s expected to be in the region of £21m, which could be sufficient to strike a deal with the second-tier Spanish outfit.
Dion Lopy has the same agent as Jordan Pickford
Interestingly, Lopy shares the same agent as Everton’s number one goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, so perhaps he could assist in any forthcoming talks.
Pickford is a senior member of the dressing room now, so it wouldn’t at all be surprising if Moyes put him forward to sell him the project.
One point to make is that Lopy is a Senegal international, so if he were to join, he would miss a portion of the season due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The competition runs from the 21st of December through until the 18th of January, so it certainly wouldn’t be ideal circumstances for Everton, who already have a pretty thin squad.
