CLEVELAND, Ohio – The 27th annual Taste of the Browns is coming up to benefit Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
The event again takes place at Huntington Bank Field’s 7UP City Club from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15. The day before the event, Cleveland plays at Baltimore in the second week of the NFL season.
Honorary co-chairs include All-Pro guard Joel Bitonio, former Browns defensive back Hanford Dixon and Chef Rocco Whalen of Fahrenheit.
Dozens of restaurants serve nibbles while auction packages feature a variety of sports memorabilia and other items. The auction will be open for online and in-person bidding until the event ends. Former and current Browns players traditionally attend.

The event is critical, especially now, for the non-profit to meet the needs of seniors, families and individuals, said Kristin Warzocha, president and chief executive officer of the food bank, in a press release.
Tickets are $225 ($325, VIP) and include all food and beverages, souvenir glass and valet parking. A VIP lounge features exclusive food and beverage tastings, along with a chance to meet with Browns players and alumni.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio. It served more than 424,000 people in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties last year.
