There has been an update on Antony's future at Manchester United as the summer transfer window rolls on.
Antony has been heavily linked with a switch away from United - after spending the second half of last season on loan at Real Betis. After helping the La Liga outfit reach the final of the Conference League, Antony has returned to United, but is increasingly likely to leave the club.
As reported by The Manchester Evening News, last month, Antony was one of five players to inform United of his desire to leave the club this summer. The Brazilian did not travel to the United States on the club's pre-season tour and has been rumoured to potentially return to Betis this summer following a successful loan spell.
However, it seems that more clubs have emerged as potential destinations before the September 1 deadline.
Spanish news outlet, Cadena SER, have claimed that Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus could pursue a move for Antony this summer. It has been claimed that Antony may consider a move to either of the duo, or a club that plays in the Champions League, provided a suitable offer is made.
Antony is also continuing to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia with unnamed clubs in the Saudi Pro League apparently interested in the former Ajax star.
A return to Betis is still on the cards - according to the report - with another loan deal being suggested between United and the Spanish outfit. It remains to be seen where Antony will be playing his football next season, having not played for United since the 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League back in January.
United have moved mountains to add to their ranks in attacking quarters this summer. After striking up deals for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, they are now closing in on a transfer for RB Leipzig's striker, Benjamin Sesko.
