New Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simons should reportedly begin the season with the Boston Celtics.
There have been plenty of trade rumors surrounding newly acquired Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simons.
After being involved in the Jrue Holiday trade this summer, Simons reportedly is being put on the trade block, but for now it looks like he'll begin the season with the Celtics.
"I think Boston will continue to listen on trades for Simons, but he'll probably start the season on the Celtics," Keith Smith of Spotrac reports.
"They need him too. Someone has to score points, and Simons can do that. In a fast-paced, three-heavy system, he fits in quite well," he adds.
Last season, Simons played in 70 games for the Portland Trail Blazers, averaging 19.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He shot 42.6% from the field and 36.3% from beyond the arc.
