Currently, as his career didn’t pan out as expected—after bouncing around the G-League and playing in Mexico—he has now stopped his basketball career.
Now Ball is a successful rapper, making a living from it and earning millions of dollars, which he revealed made him stop his basketball career.
"Really how I paved the way I'm living," Ball said on why he chose to quit basketball on the BagFuel podcast.
"I was in the G-League, I was earning 3k—as a grown man, that’s nothing. I was getting mine and throwing it."
"When I got paid from music it wasn't a hard decision," Ball added.
The NBA world was caught by frenzy after LiAngelo Ball released his debut song "Tweaker."
His song led him to signing a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group.
Shams Charania of ESPN claimed that the deal is worth as much as $13 million, with $8 million in guaranteed money.
