Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has insisted that it was an "easy decision" to leave Chelsea for Everton after finalising a big-money transfer.
The former Leicester City star ended his first campaign at Stamford Bridge with a Conference League trophy and having helped the Blues become world champions.
However, with more players being added to Enzo Maresca's squad, the fact that the playmaker made 19 starts and 17 substitute outings in 2024-25 largely became irrelevant.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Everton had made a bid that could eventually reach between £28m and £29m, Chelsea accepting those terms in order to recoup what they spent 12 months ago.
Although Dewsbury-Hall could have bided his time for offers from elsewhere, the 26-year-old has revealed that he jumped at the chance to move to the Merseyside outfit.

'I want to prove a point'
Speaking to the club's official website, Dewsbury-Hall has given every indication that he had no second thoughts over leaving West London for the North-West of England, penning a five-year contract in the process.
He said: "I'm honestly very excited, my family's excited. There's a real buzz about this. It feels right for me. So just that alone gives me the motivation and the extra determination to show everybody, to prove a point and have a really successful time here.
"Everton's one of the biggest clubs in the country, and I think that in the next couple of years, the future is going to be bright. It was an easy decision in the end to come here and play for this club.
"You look at the stadium – it's incredible. Obviously, I've played in all of the Premier League stadiums, and this is one of, if not the most impressive, so that in itself is a major, major exciting factor for wanting to join.
"Then the fan base is one of the most passionate in the country, so I know if we start playing well and I start showing the fans what I'm about, it's going to be a big, big bonus to help me and the team show our best. So that's what I want."
Dewsbury-Hall leaves Chelsea having contributed five goals and four assists in all competitions, but he made just two starts and 11 substitute outings in the Premier League.
In 53 starts and 19 appearances off the bench during his Premier League career, he has chipped in with just three goals and five assists.

Perfect move for all parties
There is every expectation that Dewsbury-Hall will become first choice at Everton, either as a number eight or number 10.
Everton boss David Moyes has been craving a player of Dewsbury-Hall's profile ever since Abdoulaye Doucoure departed on a free transfer at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have taken the amount generated through player sales for the summer transfer window to somewhere in the region of £165m.
Blues officials want to recoup at least another £100m before the market closes on September 1.
