Everton are counting down the days until their Premier League opener against Leeds United.
The pre-season tour of the United States is now behind David Moyes, who has had his eye opened to the limitations of his squad.
Everton have now opened talks to sign Jack Grealish as the club’s new owners look to make a real splash in the market.
Moyes will certainly feel as if more could have been done in the window, but the 62-year-old will be hoping for more to come.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has completed his Everton move in a deal worth in the region of £30m from Chelsea.
It is believed that there is another player nearing a move to Merseyside.

Dion Lopy edging closer to Everton transfer
Everton have been showing interest in midfielder Dion Lopy from Almeria, who has been valued in the region of £21m.
Despite securing a deal for Dewsbury-Hall, Everton are progressing with their interest in the Senegalese midfielder.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
According to El Mira, Lopy is now close to securing a move to Everton after the Blues have signalled their willingness to meet the asking price.
It is even claimed Lopy is ready to pack his bags for the move to Merseyside.
The Spanish second-tier outfit are expected to happily accept the offer from Everton, with a move set to be wrapped up soon.
If Everton can get this deal across the line, they will have some serious competition for places in the midfield.
Harrison Armstrong has impressed at Everton this summer, and the likes of James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam have enjoyed their moments.
Adding Dewsbury-Hall and Lopy would surely satisfy Moyes.
Everton could now shut off interest in Douglas Luiz
Everton have shown interest in Douglas Luiz as a potential option to bolster the midfield.
However, adding someone like Lopy could well see those links quickly come to an end over the coming days.
What will be interesting to see is what this could mean for Armstrong’s future on Merseyside.
Clubs from across Europe are interested in Armstrong, and regular football may not be offered to him at Everton.
Perhaps the youngster will end up looking for another loan to continue his development.
