Stats Highlight How Impressive Chris Boucher Was For Raptors

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Boston Celtics had signed a one-year, $3.3 million deal with Chris Boucher.

Boucher previously played for the Toronto Raptors, where he was a crucial part of the team’s bench.

According to StatMuse, Boucher set a whole bunch of milestones while playing for Toronto.

He was the first in becnh points, bench rebounds, bench blocks, bench stocks, bench three-pointers, bench free throws, bench wins, and bench double-doubles.

What can he bring to a Celtics team that is definitely in need of help?

Chris Boucher as a Raptor:

— 1st in bench points

— 1st in bench rebounds

— 1st in bench blocks

— 1st in bench stocks

— 1st in bench threes

— 1st in bench free throws

— 1st in bench wins

— 1st in bench double-doubles

Last season, Boucher averaged 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Raptors.

His career average is currently 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

The Celtics don’t think Boucher will be a huge part of their starting lineup, but they do think he will contribute some important numbers off the bench, just like he did for the Raptors.

Will he be the first in all of these categories?

That remains to be seen.

The Celtics were able to sign him on an inexpensive deal that won’t cost them much money and not have them on the hook for too much if things go south.

But based on these numbers from his years with the Raptors, there is no reason to believe things won’t work out.

The Celtics are going through a slew of changes, mostly because they will be without Jayson Tatum in the new season.

They will need all of their players to step up, including newcomers like Boucher.

He has shown he can help out a lot in Toronto, so what will he do in Boston?
