The Buffalo Bills once again enter the season surrounded by hype and high expectations, largely due to reigning MVP and star quarterback Josh Allen.

Since entering the league in 2018 out of Wyoming, Allen has defied early skepticism about his potential coming from a smaller college football program. He’s now one of the sport’s household names and was widely regarded as the best quarterback in football in 2024.

Despite his success, the Bills have struggled to get past the AFC Championship Game and reach the Super Bowl — a milestone the franchise has yet to achieve.

With preseason football kicking off this week for all 32 teams, Allen surprised fans by debuting a new look during Wednesday’s practice.

Allen decided to shave off his beard, leaving only his mustache — a fresh new look for the 2025 season.

“Stache season,” Bills posted.

Bills fans reacted to the new look:

“Josh Allen rocking the Josh Brolen,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Staches are creepy.”

Another person wrote, “MUZZY JOSH.”

“Hair in the back and a mustache, he really is America’s quarterback,” a fan reacted.

“Mustache josh is the worst qb in the league thank God we got this out of the way early,” one more fan commented.

Last season, Josh Allen completed 63.6% of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, while rushing for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The Bills are set to kick off their preseason on Saturday night at home against the New York Giants. It’s unclear whether head coach Sean McDermott plans to play Allen, but if he does, it will likely be only for a series or two. Buffalo will have three preseason games in total before their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football.”
