Newcastle reach full agreement on personal terms with player – Full focus now on transfer agreement

Newcastle United have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Malick Thiaw over a four-year deal.

That’s according to journalist Patrick Berger, who reports that Newcastle and AC Milan are still negotiating after the Magpies made their latest bid valued at €30m.

Talks are ongoing between the two sides, despite the fact that AC Milan manager Massimo Allegri has made it clear that he doesn’t want to let Thiaw do go this summer.

Newcastle have long been interested in a move for Thiaw, with the belief that Eddie Howe is determined to add to his backline this summer.

Thiaw had previously been linked with a move to Como and has also turned down a move to Crystal Palace this summer as well.

Newcastle have revived their interest this week, initiating contact about a €35m move on Monday before a report earlier today stated that they had submitted a significant offer for him and their interest was serious.

Berger now reports that Newcastle has reached a full agreement on personal terms with the 23-year-old over a four-year deal.

That means they are now free to focus on the agreement with AC Milan, and it appears that is happening, despite Allegri’s reluctance to a deal happening.
