**Alexander Isak has reportedly been told to train away from the rest of the squad after agitating for a move away from Newcastle United.**
Eddie Howe and the rest of the Newcastle United squad returned to training at Darsley Park today after returning from their pre-season tour of Asia.
However, Alexander Isak did not turn up for training, having been told to report to the training ground later in the day.
Keith Downie has told Sky Sports that Isak has been told to train away from the squad, whose families joined them at the training ground for a family day after training had finished.

Alexander Isak has to train away from the rest of the squad
-----------------------------------------------------------
Eddie Howe laid down the law for Isak before flying back to England at the weekend, saying that you have to 'earn the right' to train with Newcastle, and after it became clear that Isak's sabbatical to Spain was without permission from the club, it was clear that Howe wasn't going to take this lightly.
It's one thing for a player to ask to consider their options to move away, but when they start to take the piss like Alexander Isak has, it becomes something completely different.
We've seen a similar thing with Yoane Wissa at Brentford, who is training away from the first team after throwing his toys out of the pram to get a move to Newcastle, now Isak will get the same treatment.
Our sympathy has run out
------------------------
We've tried to be more sympathetic towards Isak throughout all of this. There are a lot of fans who have been kicking off about how Isak is a traitor, etc, and we didn't want to push that narrative. At the end of the day, he's an employee, and people move jobs all the time. He doesn't really owe the club anything; he's got no reason to be loyal. It's not like he was a Newcastle fan growing up or anything like that.
However, since finding out he ran off to Spain without the gaffer's permission, that one felt like a step too far. If you're man enough to fake an injury and push for a move, then you should be man enough to face the consequences at home.
We gave him the benefit of the doubt when he went to Spain, feeling that he probably did the right thing to get away from media and angry fans at the training ground, but doing it off his own bat without informing the club was a poor move. Now, that sympathy we had for him has gone.
We expect that the sentiment within the club isn't much different either, which is really going to make things very awkward for the upcoming season when he's forced to stay at the club because we can't sign a replacement.
