Nottingham Forest are pretty desperate to land Douglas Luiz this summer, with Juventus keen on a sale.
Luiz has agreed terms with Forest, however, there is some work to do when it comes to the package between the two clubs.
Forest have been actively trying to sign players across the transfer window, with three new arrivals checking in so far this summer.
Igor Jesus has joined Forest from Botafogo, with his teammate Jair Cunha also joining from the same club shortly after.
Dan Ndoye signed for Forest from Bologna last week, and he’s now made a couple of appearances in the Garibaldi.
Now, the emphasis is all on Luiz, however, with reports claiming that Forest will go full steam ahead for the Brazilian midfielder.

Forest midfielder could be used as bait to land Douglas Luiz
Lots of different factors are being taken into consideration with the clubs with this deal very much likely to go through.
Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahim Sangare could go to Juventus as a makeweight in order to smooth through a deal for Luiz to come to Forest.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The Ivorian player signed for Forest for £30 million in the summer of 2023 and injuries and illness have essentially robbed him of consistency.
Still, it feels like Nuno Espirito Santo rates him highly, picking him at the end of last season and thus far during pre-season.
However, Forest are considering getting a deal for Luiz over the line and sacrificing Sangare, with Juve seeking a replacement for their wantaway player.
Forest shouldn’t offload Sangare
If Forest are going to let Sangare leave, they could do with recouping some money for his services.
However, that might not be possible and clearly, the swap deal is something that is now being discussed between the two clubs.
With Forest likely to target two central midfielders this summer, however, it doesn’t make much sense to offload Sangare for the sake of signing Luiz.
With Europe on the table, Forest need quality players in reserve as well as on the pitch and with that in mind, the Reds should think very carefully before letting Sangare leave.
