Jack Grealish has continued to be a transfer target for Everton this summer.

The England international has been strongly linked with a Manchester City exit after months of uncertainty under Pep Guardiola.

This has seen a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, go around the rumour mill despite a deal yet to go through at this stage.

With just over a week remaining until the Premier League season gets underway, a swoop for Grealish could still be possible as Alan Myers speaks out on a potential move.

As it stands, the Toffees already have excellent qualities in attacking areas, moving into the new campaign on Merseyside.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

This has only been helped by the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea after weeks of links to the former Leicester City star.

The Club World Cup winner could potentially be joined by the ex-Aston Villa captain this summer if Moyes and Co. can reach a deal with the Citizens.

Reports have emerged in recent days once again linking Grealish with the Toffees, reigniting hope among the Evertonian fanbase in L4.

With that being said, Myers has now had his say on a potential deal with Man City via X on Wednesday (6 August).

He said: “Grealish interest has been there for a while, as far as I understand, there are no formal negotiations ongoing, and the situation is as it has been since the window began.

“Man City will decide what they want to do (permanent/loan/or stay), definitely a deal to be done though imo.”

Grealish coup still available for Moyes

Having already brought in Thierno Barry, Adam Aznou and Dewsbury-Hall, it seems that additional Premier League experience is also wanted.

It is fair to say that the English attacking midfielder would provide that in spades after many top-quality years with both Aston Villa and Man City.

Under Guardiola, the 29-year-old played a key role in a historic treble and has had huge success while wearing sky blue, despite form falling away in recent months.

Despite this, the Englishman only featured in 715 league minutes last season

As a result, a move to Everton could prove to be hugely positive for all parties, it is just yet to be seen whether a deal can be struck on Merseyside in the coming weeks.
