Manchester United’s current transfer business has a significant impact on rivals Liverpool and their approach.
Manchester United’s summer transfer window has been good, but they are definitely in need of more additions, as they have so far only signed two players who will be regulars in Ruben Amorim’s starting XI next season.
Having added Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, United still have glaring needs at the striker position, in goal, and in defensive midfield. However, limited funds could impact the number of players that Amorim can bring in.
United’s Sesko breakthrough impacts Liverpool
Isak told the Magpies that he wanted to explore a move away, and Liverpool have made a bid to sign him. However, if Man United can land Sesko, Newcastle may refuse to let Isak leave, as Sesko was their planned replacement for the Swedish international.
That could instantly halt any chance of Liverpool landing Isak, which, for one, would be a huge loss to the Reds, but also a huge boost to everyone else in the Premier League, because Isak's move to Anfield could spell trouble.
Sesko wants Man United move
As Newcastle’s horror of a transfer window rolls on, it looks as though they are going to miss out on Sesko to Man United, as all the reports indicate that Sesko is much more keen on a move to the North West.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed today on X that Sesko has agreed on personal terms with Man United over a deal, and that he would sign a five-year contract lasting until 2030. Romano also said that Sesko wants to join United, and that he hasn’t made any similar indication to any other clubs...including Newcastle.
🚨💣 Benjamin Šeško has reached total agreement with Manchester United on personal terms. Contract until June 2030.
Šeško wants to join United, clear feeling revealed yesterday here. Never gave similar indication to other clubs.

It seems as though the Slovenian striker will move to United this summer, which is a big blow for Liverpool, as the saga surrounding Isak could be closing just over a week after it first started.
The Reds already signed Hugo Ekitike this summer, so they don’t need another striker, but it is very clear that Isak is a big target for Arne Slot, and he would make a huge impact in terms of goal scoring at Anfield. But Man United’s pulling power seems to have prevailed.
