West Ham hold major interest in “special” Liverpool starlet with 10 goal contributions last…

West Ham’s attacking rebuild is still very much a work in progress.

Yes, Callum Wilson has joined the ranks, but he’s very much a short-term option. Niclas Füllkrug hasn’t found his feet, Evan Ferguson has already departed after a woeful loan spell, and Michail Antonio—who’s still recovering after his car accident—is a shadow of his former self.

The biggest blow, though? Losing Mohammed Kudus to Spurs.

Kudus may not have lit up the stat sheet last season, but he was a genuine game-changer—someone who could make something happen from nothing. His exit has left a gaping hole out wide, and West Ham need to fill it fast.

Enter: Ben Doak.

According to journalist David Lynch, the Liverpool starlet is attracting “major interest” this summer, with West Ham and Wolves among the clubs monitoring his situation closely.

Still just 19, Doak spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough and quietly impressed in the Championship. The Scotland international racked up 3 goals and 7 assists across 24 appearances, showcasing his electric pace, direct dribbling, and fearlessness in the final third.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp once described the winger as “special,” and it’s easy to see why. His performances for club and country suggest a player with huge upside and the attitude to match.

It’s also reported that Liverpool turned down £20 million bids from Ipswich and Crystal Palace back in January—and similar interest is building again this summer. As it stands, West Ham haven’t submitted a formal offer, but given their need for pace and creativity out wide, Doak certainly fits the bill.

Can he replace Kudus right away? Probably not. But Potter’s project is long-term—and in Doak, he may see a future star worth investing in now.
