Before the summer window even began, Leeds United chief Paraag Marathe told the fans that the club would be busy this summer. And so far, the ownership seem to have delivered on their promise.
Marathe knew the financial power needed to build a team at the top flight level, that could compete. Daniel Farke was also given assurance of being backed in the market:

“Whatever they will let us spend, we’ll spend. I can comfortably say that we are going to spend the very last penny that we can.”
“Together we are going to build the best squad we can, with every penny we are allowed to spend to be competitive in the Premier League,” the American said.
“We are going to attack the transfer market and it’s something I’m really excited about.”
With less than two weeks till the opener against Everton, it looks like the club are yet to finish with their spending. Seven arrivals so far, and Farke is still in search of new additions.

El Khannouss has been the major talking point this past week. Leeds have really focused on his signing, and have even approached Leicester City over a deal. No formal offer has been made yet. Graham Smyth has now confirmed that the player’s representatives have held a meeting with Leeds this past week. The impression is that the attack is ‘very interested’ in a move to West Yorskhire.
Earlier today, Sacha Tavolieri also reported that European competition football was not a priority for El Khannouss, who is open to just playing in the Premier League.
A bid is expected from Leeds in the coming days
Crystal Palace could prove to be a problem
So far, Leeds are the only club who have made their stance clear on the player. The Whites are currently the front runners for his signature. However, Crystal Palace are closely monitoring the situation. The Eagles could also make a move, but that would depend on if they are able to sort out some deals in the next few days.
El Khannouss is a solid signing
The forward was a bright spark for the Leicester side last season, and it has shown considering the interest in him this summer. He had a decent campaign, and managed two goals and three assists for a very poor Foxes side. El Khannouss’ tally bettered what Jack Harrison produced on loan at Everton, and is a great sign of what he could potentially do next season.
