The Spanish newspaper reported in its print edition (3 August, page 57) that Wolves are leading the race for the defender.

He told Goodison News: “He played over 30 league games last season and there weren’t any injury issues that a club looking to sign him should worry about.

“The adaptation from Spain to the Premier League is different for different players, so it would make sense to ease him in before he can start regularly.

“There should also be no issues with his medical, so there’s nothing about his fitness that brings up any red flags.”

Everton must sign Sanchez ahead of Wolves

Sanchez would be a solid signing for Everton due to his versatility, youth and proven quality.

The 21-year-old can excel as a right-back, winger, or central midfielder, addressing Everton’s need for depth and flexibility.

His Olympic gold medal with Spain in 2024 and 74 appearances for Sevilla, with six goals and eight assists, showcase his attacking flair and defensive nous.

With Ashley Young having left the Toffees and Seamus Coleman ageing, Sanchez offers a long-term solution at right-back.

His progressive play and combative style make him a perfect fit for David Moyes’ squad.
