Transfer news and rumours: Premier League 'initiate contact' for Eriksen deal

Staying in the Premier League, newly-promoted Burnley have reportedly identified Christian Eriksen as a possible target.

The Denmark international is currently searching for a new club after leaving Manchester United at the end of last season.

According to the Daily Mail, Burnley are showing an interest in securing the services of the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.

The Clartets have made 'initial contact' with the player's camp, as they look to build a squad capable of avoiding the drop this season.

Eriksen has already turned down an approach from Wrexham, but Burnley are still facing competition from a number of other potential suitors.

Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Trabzonspor are all keen to bring Eriksen to Turkey, while he is also believed to have admirers in Germany and Spain.

There has been interest from the USA, the Middle East and Brazil, but the Dane's priority is to continue his club career in Europe.

West Ham eyeing Ramsey move

Staying in the Premier League, West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.,

Hammers boss Graham Potter is looking to add quality to his midfield options before the transfer window slams shut on September.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are keen to recruit Ramsey from fellow Premier League club Aston Villa.

The Hammers view Ramsey as the 'ideal' midfield target, but they may have a tough job to prise him away from Villa Park.

Ramsey appears to have his reservations about joining the Hammers, although he could soften his stance if he finds himself out on the fringes of Unai Emery's side at the start of the season.

The Villans are willing to listen to offers for the academy product, whose potential sale would be noted as pure profit on the club accounts.

Aston Villa are demanding around £40m to part ways with a player who is under contract until the summer of 2027.

In the Championship, Wrexham have confirmed the arrival of Wales international Kieffer Moore from Sheffield United.

As per BBC Sport, the Red Dragons reached an agreement with the Blades over a deal worth £2m to add the striker to Phil Parkinson's side.

The 32-year-old has signed a three-year contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2027-28 season.

“I’m over the moon to join the club, and I can’t wait to get started," Moore told the club's official website. “I want to be that experienced leader and bring a lot to the team.

"My work ethic is one of my strongest assets, and I want to be someone that can help drive the team forward.”
