Kyle Kuzma was the least discussed Milwaukee player by the front office during the peak of the 2025 summer offseason but among fans, his name is brought up in trade rumors a lot.
The 30-year-old forward’s half season with the team went downhill and culminated in one of the most disastrous playoff performances by a player in NBA history. He came to the Bucks on February from the Washington Wizards in a swap that involved Milwaukee’s third best player then Khris Middleton.
He was expected to be on that K-Midd role who will provide instant offense in the playoffs when the other stars are down. But it did not happen.
Now, many fans want him out.
For analyst Kevin O’Connor, he thinks the one-time champion should be allowed to get acclimated in a new environment first.
“I think it’s fair to give him a pass for last season. It’s hard to go from losing from four straight years with no expectations to win, to suddenly starting having winning expectations,”

The 2025 postseason is Kuzma’s first since 2021 when he was still with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged a career low 5.8 ppg and 2.2 rpg.
Kyle Kuzma vows a better new season
Kuzma himself knows that he had a terrible end to the 2025 season. His worst stat by far is when he recorded zero stat in 21 minutes of play in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers.
It’s Easter, but Kyle Kuzma is hunting goose eggs.

He, however, insists that he could have done it better and that’s what he is focused on for next season.
“Coming over, I think we had hopes. Fell a little short,” he said in his Youtube channel.
“I didn’t play how I wanted to play. This offseason, it’s just like get to the fundamentals, getting back to the basic, being able to have a healthy summer, which I really didn’t have last summer, which I’m excited to attack.”
