CEO confirms Chelsea target has agreement to leave–Brazilian‘excited’with Blues move–Chelsea told£87M may move

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from icchelseanews that you may have missed…

Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has confirmed that there was an agreement for CHELSEA target Ademola Lookman to leave if the right offer came in this transfer window, but not to Italian clubs.

The 27-year-old forward joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig back in 2022 and has gone on to score 52 goals in 117 appearances for the Italian outfit in all competitions, firmly establishing himself as one of the best attackers in Europe.

There are still two years remaining on Lookman’s current contract in Bergamo, but it appears the attacker has made up his mind and is intent on leaving before the transfer deadline.

The likes of Arsenal, CHELSEA and Newcastle United have all been linked with a move for the attacker, and will be interested in making a move in the coming days, and Percassi has revealed there is an agreement for Lookman to leav

He said: “The pact with Lookman was made one year ago when we rejected £17.5m from PSG.”

“We told him ‘we’ll let you leave in 2025 for a super top club and not in Italy.’ Now, the situation [with Inter] is different, and as always, it’s us deciding.”

The 27-year-old has handed in a transfer request: ‘I can confirm I have now handed in a formal transfer request.

‘Even throughout the extremely difficult moments I’ve endured, many of which have remained private and confidential, I have always tried to put the club, the fans and the team first and hoped it would not get to this, but I unfortunately feel there is now little choice.

‘To the fans – the heartbeat of this club – I want to say this: I’m truly sorry it’s come to this. I hope you can understand this incredibly difficult situation. It’s simply about standing up for what I believe is fair and right. The support you have always given me has been incredible and the bond we have created together is special.

‘I hope to work together with the club to find an amicable solution for all parties as soon as possible. With love and gratitude, Ademola.’

ESTEVAO WILLIAN EXCITED

Summer signing Estevao Willian has now arrived at CHELSEA, and the young Brazilian star is very excited about making the move to Stamford Bridge after waiting to make that move to the Premier League.

Despite the fact that Estevao has only just arrived at Chelsea and playing on a weekly basis, there is already alot of excitement about what the Brazilian can bring to the club having made a big name for himself over in South America.

He is already one of the best players in the Brazilian league, is a full international and has many of the countries legends coming out and stating that he has the quality to go on and become one of the best players in world football.

Like the rest of the the Blues squad, Estevao enjoyed time off following the club world cup tournament. But he has now linked up with his new Blues team-mates at Cobham as we undertake our pre-season preparations for the 2024/25 campaign.

‘I am very happy, it feels very rewarding to represent CHELSEA, one of the biggest clubs in the world,’ Estevao said during his first day at Chelsea. ‘I am very happy and I hope to help the team in the best way possible.’

‘I had almost a year and a half to wait until I arrived here. But it has been a year and a half that I have worked hard and have done my best to get here in the best shape possible.

‘I am very, very excited. It is a new experience in my life, a new stage. I am looking forward to it and hope that it will go as well as possible.’

RODRYGO MAY LEAVE

South American football expert Tim Vickery has been on Sky Sports News discussing CHELSEA target Rodrygo, and whether or not the attacker will leave Real Madrid this summer transfer window

Rodrygo scored 13 goals and provided over 10 assists in over 50 appearances last season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.

According to recent reports, Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso.

There were even claims that he had fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu, plus he was allegedly angry that the team was being built around Kylian Mbappe – not Vinicius Jr and himself.

However – Rodrygo is now set to stay in Madrid and wants to convince Xabi Alonso he is still committed to the club.

But according to Vickery, even though Rodrygo wants to stay at Madrid, he may seek a transfer move this summer: “Let’s watch this space over the next few weeks because this could be interesting.

“Rodrygo has the Real Madrid dilemma that it’s hard for players to be top dog there and he’s so talented – almost absurdly talented.

“But someone has to do the hard yards and Jude Bellingham said last year that he considered Rodrygo the most talented of all of them and the one who has to sacrifice himself the most for the side.

“Where does Xabi Alonso see him? Because he can play anywhere across the front line. He didn’t use him very much in the Club World Cup and when he did, it was wide right.

“We know Rodrygo doesn’t want to play wide right. He would far prefer a free role. Now what we understand is that he’s very keen on staying at Real Madrid and proving that he can be a key part of that side.

“Over the next two weeks , if that doesn’t happen, then he might start looking around and what an asset he would be.

“It’s a waste to have him as a bit-part player, filling in spaces or playing wide on the right. You want him roaming free, dropping his little bombs all around the opposing goal.”
