Kiwior’s future being mapped out at the Emirates
**Jakub Kiwior**’s future is once again in the air at the moment. But, this time Arsenal appear to have a clear stance.
The Polish defender has been an important player in Mikel Arteta’s squad. He is likely to get a new deal very soon. Although, the player was linked with an exit last summer. But, he remained and produced several solid displays over the course of the campaign.
As per TBR Football, Arsenal are ready to reward Kiwior with a new contract and a higher salary. But, Kiwior has one ask, he wants minutes on the pitch. He doesn’t want to sit on the bench. He will most likely want some guarantees regarding playing time before signing a long-term deal.

Arsenal keen to retain the defender
Arsenal know the value of having a reliable and flexible defender like Kiwior in their ranks. The ex-Spezia player can play in varying positions along the backline giving him an effective weapon in Arteta’s system. So far, several Italian clubs are monitoring the player’s status. That said, the Gunners need to act quickly If they are to retain the player.
The North London side have a pretty good team to challenge for a big trophy in the future. Few smart moves will ensure that squad depth stays strong. Kiwior has that quality and grit needed to get through a long season where everything is competitive. His ability to adapt and deliver makes him a key asset. Arsenal are wise to try and tie him down.
The ball is now in the club’s court to give him with assurances about his role going forward. If managed right, Kiwior could be a big part of Arsenal’s plans next season.
