Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze. They continue to reshape their squad this summer.
Arsenal preparing big move for midfielder after Vieira exit
Arsenal are closing in on a fresh attacking option during this summer window. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is now high on their shortlist.
The Gunners are likely to make a formal bid for the Englishman once they finalise **Fabio Vieira**’s exit. Vieira is expected to go for around €20m. That would be a useful help in funding Arsenal’s move for Eze, who is valued at about €60m.
Eze plays with flair and creativity. He can operate centrally or out wide and has performed really well at Selhurst Park. Mikel Arteta believes the player would give the Gunners’ frontline something different to play with. That is an element of uncertainty and skill that has often been lacking in tight games.
The Palace star offers a more direct threat with the ball at his feet. He could even serve as backup or competition for Martin Odegaard in the midfield. At 27, he’s entering his peak and would offer both quality and PL experience to the squad.
If Arsenal succeed in landing Eberechi Eze, could this be their strongest XI for next season? 🔴⚪

Gunners struggling to sell, but ryes on final piece
While the Gunners have been active in buying, selling players remains a sticking point. Arsenal haven’t been able to make big-money sales like Chelsea or Liverpool have this summer window.
The North London side is likely to decide on players such as Vieira, Trossard, or Jakub Kiwior. So, it could free up finances for Eze. There only a few weeks left in the window. That said, the Gunners are expected to push for the Palace star. If the deal goes through, they will likely finish their summer business on a high.
