Two days ago, we covered multiple claims from Brazil that Manchester City’s Vitor Reis is set to join Girona on loan this summer. The two clubs are owned by the City Group and have found an agreement.
On Wednesday, the centre-back was pictured inside a private jet, with his agent, Federico Pastorello. Cadena Ser journalist Nil Sol had reported the Manchester City player was on his way to Spain to join Girona.
Thursday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo reports the 19-year-old landed at Girona Airport at 12:15pm local time yesterday.
According to the newspaper, the Brazil international already completed medical tests with the La Liga club on Wednesday and then trained with his new teammates. It’s claimed the Manchester City defender’s arrival will be made official later today.
Another Catalan newspaper, Sport, also reports Reis has already passed his medical with the Spanish club and they will make his signing official on Thursday.
Mundo adds the South American will take part in his first full training session under Girona manager Míchel’s order on Thursday.
Reis arrived at the Etihad from Palmeiras in January and was limited to 226 minutes from four games. A loan move to Girona can help him feature regularly this season.
