Everton target Tyler Dibling now appears to be on the verge of sealing his permanent Southampton exit.

The Toffees want to sign Dibling following the Saints’ relegation to the Championship.

Southampton have already rejected a £40million bid from Everton for the England Under-21 international, but a move still appears to be on the cards.

Southampton withdraw Dibling from training

According to BBC Sport (6 August), the Championship club want the 19-year-old to avoid getting injured ahead of a potential move this summer.

The Toffees have made three bids for Dibling, but all of them have been turned down by the Saints.

In order to avoid anything that would jeopardise the deal, Southampton have withdrawn the winger from first-team training.

With them starting their Championship this season against Wrexham over the weekend, the Exeter-born attacker is not expected to be a part of that game.

A move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium has not been ruled out as transfer talks are advancing between the two clubs.

There are understood to be other Premier League clubs also keen on securing his services.

Everton expected to come back with another offer

Everton may now table a bid exceeding £40million plus £5million in add-ons for Dibling, as transfer talks are advancing and Southampton have excluded the 19-year-old winger from training.

The Saints’ recent rejection of bids indicates a firm but negotiable stance.

The Toffees could propose £42million plus £5million in add-ons or maintain the £40million base with up to £10million in add-ons to bridge the valuation gap.

Dibling’s Premier League potential, shown through two goals in 33 appearances last season, aligns with Moyes’ need for a dynamic right-winger.

His absence from training suggests Southampton may be open to a deal, but the Merseyside outfit must act swiftly, as other clubs are circling.

A higher bid could secure Dibling, boosting Everton’s attack while fitting their budget constraints compared to pricier targets.

This move would signal ambition and address their low goal tally of 42 last season.
