Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Eze is hoping to seal a move to Arsenal over Tottenham.
Arsenal lead the race for Palace star
Eberechi Eze is drawing a lot of interest from both North London clubs this summer. But, it seems the Crystal Palace star knows where he wants to go next.
Eze has had an incredible season at Selhurst Park with 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. Naturally, that sort of numbers has attracted the attention of bigger clubs. Given that, Aston Villa and Tottenham figures are interested.
The midfielder reportedly has his sights on the red side of North London. For Mikel Arteta, this could be a perfect solution to a growing problem. Gabriel Martinelli’s form dipped last season, and Arsenal clearly need added depth and creativity on the left flank. Eze fits the bill. He’s not just productive, but also brings flair and control. This the kind of direct attacking threat Gunners’ fans love to see.
Tottenham watch on as Eze eyes Emirates switch
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Eze and even monitoring his situation, as per Ben Jacobs. Meanwhile, Son Heung-min is set to move to MLS. So, the Spurs have been looking for someone to provide them a fresh face out wide. Eze’s versatility, being able to play on different positions will have made him attractive to Thomas Frank.
Spurs’ interest seems to have just hit a blow or possibly cooled off. Eze appears to have his eyes on a move to Arsenal only. He wants to play UCL football and win silverware for the Gunners.
After showing his worth at Palace, he probably thinks the time is right to take up a new challenge. Arsenal are likely to open the door very soon. Eze will be lighting up the Emirates, in red and white in the near future.
