Nottingham Forest are desperately keen to get some more deals over the line before the new Premier League season gets underway.
The Reds are keen to ensure that the squad is well-stocked, with the club set to embark on a maiden European campaign in 30 years.
Anthony Elanga signed for Newcastle earlier this summer and Forest moved quickly to sign Dan Ndoye as his direct replacement.
Now, Forest are keen to sign Douglas Luiz in order to bolster the midfield engine room but it would appear that other clubs are starting to show an interest in his services.

Liverpool and Tottenham want Douglas Luiz
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool and Tottenham are now keen to bring Luiz to their clubs this summer, with Forest now feeling the heat in this battle.
Forest have agreed personal terms with Luiz but are a little way apart when it comes to the valuation that Juventus want to receive for his signature.
It’s not thought that these two clubs are close to anything, but it’s believed that they’re monitoring the situation very closely, with the transfer window set to close in a few weeks.
Luiz made 27 appearances last season after a £43 million move from Aston Villa, but he was rarely considered a regular and is now seeking a move to pastures new.

Forest need to move quickly to complete Luiz deal
At 27, Luiz would provide Forest with a plug-and-play option in the Premier League, with the Brazilian making over 200 appearances for Aston Villa.
The Reds could do with another midfielder in their engine room this season, with Nicolas Dominguez still out injured and struggling to be ready for the start of the campaign.
Forest have also been linked with Mads Bidstrup and that likely showcases that contingency plans are being made, if they feel Luiz is proving hard to prise away.
Luiz would be an extremely good signing this summer and with two Champions League clubs now chasing the player, it would appear that Edu might need to really up the stakes to get the midfielder over the line.
