TBR understands that Al-Hilal and Liverpool are close to finalising terms over Darwin Nunez – we understand that Liverpool have accepted an offer worth over £50 million.
As TBR Football revealed earlier this month, personal terms were agreed in principle with Nunez’s camp, and now a deal is progressing.
Nunez and Liverpool had talks early in the summer about his future, and they agreed that the best thing was a transfer away.
The 26-year-old had looked set to join Napoli, but terms could not be agreed, but now a move to Saudi Arabia is on the cards.
The striker has been offered a huge contract, which TBR Football has been told will see him nearly double his Anfield salary.

Exclusive: Liverpool players gutted about Darwin Nunez leaving for Al-Hilal
Liverpool players are gutted by the prospect of Darwin Nunez leaving for Al-Hilal, given just how popular he was in the dressing room, sources have told TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey.
Liverpool have already sold Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich this summer and now look set to lose another attacker in Nunez.
Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike have already been added to the squad, and Liverpool still looking to add Alexander Isak to Arne Slot’s squad.
Speaking about the situation, Bailey exclusively told TBR Football: “I am told it has been quite emotional within the Liverpool squad about Darwin Nunez – he is such a popular figure, with staff and players – all you hear is about what a fantastic person he is.
“There are no bad feelings – Nunez was made aware earlier in the summer that Liverpool were changing things and that he would be allowed to leave. That is now close to being finalised.”
“Liverpool allowed Nunez’s people to talk to the Pro League some weeks ago and now things are progressing
Nunez will be a big loss within the Liverpool dressing room, but if it means the likes of Isak could arrive, ultimately, it will be a big boost for the team.
