Manchester City winger Jack Grealish is a “dream target” for Everton, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Toffees have opened talks with Pep Guardiola’s side as they explore whether a deal to sign the 29-year-old on loan is possible.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Grealish has also been the subject of an enquiry from Tottenham, but it is David Moyes’ team who are showing the most interest:

“Everton are working on a deal to sign Jack Grealish. There was a call also from Tottenham in recent days to understand the situation of the player, but it was just a call – no advanced negotiations. From what I’m told now, Everton approached Manchester City after speaking to the agent of the player last week.”
“Now, Everton are in talks with Manchester City for Jack Grealish – they want to try for a loan. Let’s see the conditions of this loan, let’s see what Jack will decide to do – but Jack Grealish is the dream target now for Everton.”
Grealish’s wages are likely to be a major obstacle
According to Capology, the England international currently takes home £300,000 a week. Everton’s highest earner, Jordan Pickford, is on less than a third of that amount (£125,000 a week).
It means there is a good chance that the Merseyside club will ask City to pay a considerable portion of Grealish’s wages during his loan; something they would like to avoid.
Are other clubs interested in signing the Man City player?
In addition to Spurs, both West Ham and Serie A champions Napoli have been mentioned as potential suitors for Grealish.
The Italian side probably possess the greatest financial resources to match Grealish’s demands, but the club have already signed a left winger this summer, PSV’s Noa Lang.
There are suggestions that they could go back into the market for another but it seems Everton are Grealish’s most likely destination at the moment.
