Brighton have no plans to part ways with Carlos Baleba amid interest from Manchester United and are demanding over £100m to let the midfielder go, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.
The Old Trafford side have contacted Brighton through intermediaries to explore a potential move for the 21-year-old, but face a tough task in convincing the Seagulls to sell.
While personal terms are not expected to be an issue, Brighton are not contemplating a sale this summer, and only a club-record fee could reportedly change their stance.
A move worth more than £100m would make Baleba Brighton’s second most expensive departure and Man United’s most expensive signing ever, surpassing Romelu Lukaku’s £90m move in 2017.

According to Bailey, Brighton have made it clear that Baleba is not for sale this summer, and the Cameroonian himself is not pushing for a departure either:
“I am told that Brighton are not contemplating a Baleba sale this summer and are not encouraging it either. They are saying he is not for sale.
“Baleba is not actively pushing for a move either, but his people are aware of the interest from United and others, as they are not the only side who like him.”
Baleba has emerged as one of the most promising midfielders in the Premier League since joining Brighton from Lille two seasons ago in a deal worth just under £26m.
Brighton are reportedly aiming to keep the 'exceptional' 21-year-old – who is under contract until 2028 – for at least another year.
Baleba made 40 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists. He also played the third-most minutes of any Brighton player in the Premier League.
Man United are now close to sealing a full agreement for Benjamin Sesko’s arrival from RB Leipzig, with a five-year contract already in place for the 22-year-old striker.
