Estevao Willian has finally arrived at Chelsea, and speculation over what number he will wear at Stamford Bridge has come to an end as well.
Despite it being known for over a year that Estevao would be joining the Blues, it was only when the rest of the first team had returned to pre-season training this week that the signing was announced.
Estevao has signed an eight-year deal with the club, however even after that lengthy period of time he will still only be 26 years of age.
Training couldn’t have got off to a better start for the youngster either. Estevao was on the winning team in his first session with his new teammates.

Estevao Willian’s Chelsea shirt number confirmed
After the departure of Noni Madueke was confirmed, the number 11 shirt has become available, with it remaining to be seen if any of their new signings will take that responsibility.
However, it looks as if the Brazilian is paying homage to former club, Palmeiras, by wearing the shirt number he donned for them.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, it was confirmed he will again don the number 41 shirt for Chelsea.
Jamie Gittens‘ shirt number is still yet to be confirmed, and he could well take the number 11 shirt after Madueke left for Arsenal.

History of the number 41 shirt at Chelsea
While Estevao will be hoping to make history at Chelsea as an individual, it looks as if it will be a certainty that he will make the biggest impact of anyone to wear that number in West London.
It was last occupied by Ola Aina in 2019, with Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke having it before him.
Only four more players have ever been given the number for Chelsea, with none of them really making a large impact on the club during their time at the club.
Chelsea fans will get their first look at their new signing this weekend, with two pre-season fixtures against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan to come.
