Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Premier League side Everton, the Blues have now officially revealed on the club website after the Merseysiders showed an interest.
CHELSEA have pretty done all their transfer business in bringing players in, as Jorrel Hato is the latest name to make the move to Stamford Bridge as Enzo Maresca builds a very exciting squad for next season.
But the Blues are now keen to make sure that they recoup some of that £250 million they have spent on new players this season, and have been working hard to get a number of players out the club, Drewsbury-Hall is a man that Maresca no longer needs.
The 26-year-old followed Maresca from Leicester to Chelsea last summer but was almost immediately linked with a transfer after struggling for game time at the Bridge, and now his move away from Chelsea have been confirmed by the Blues.
The Blues posted: ‘Kiernan joined the Blues from Leicester City in the summer of 2024 and the 26-year-old midfielder made 36 appearances across all competitions last season.
‘Dewsbury-Hall leaves Chelsea as a European and world champion, having been part of the group that won the Conference League and Club World Cup trophy.
‘We thank Kiernan for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.’
IcFootballnews says…
He is a decent player and moving to Everton is a great idea, he will play at a very high level and will get the game time that he needs to get his career right back on track.
It is a shame that he could not fulfil his potential at CHELSEA, but moving on is definitely the right decision, and the Blues have got some decent money in the process.
