Everton are now just a matter of days away from their opening Premier League game against Leeds United.
Questions will remain as to whether David Moyes has the squad capable of matching the high ambitions of The Friedkin Group.
During the recent United States trip, the 62-year-old voiced his concerns over the lack of incoming on Merseyside.
“In the past, I have had to sign a lot of players, but I’ve never had to do so many in one window,” said Moyes.
Everton have since signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in what will be viewed as a major addition to the squad.
It is believed those at Everton think Dewsbury-Hall is a big upgrade on their current options in midfield.
There may still be a few weeks of transfer business ahead, but Joe Cole and Owen Hargreaves have already shared their early predictions for the new campaign.

Moyes has mooted European qualification at Everton over recent weeks despite the steady transfer window.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The Friedkins will be hoping for a much-improved campaign after Everton’s struggles for large parts of 2024/25.
Despite some exciting additions, neither Cole nor Hargreaves has predicted Everton to finish higher than 13th in their TNT Sports predictions.
Having ended last season in 13th spot, Cole thinks Everton will maintain their position with the same-placed finish this time around.
However, Hargreaves is expecting Everton to be worse than they were last season as he predicts the Blues to finish in a sorry 15th spot.
Everton are eyeing a move for Jack Grealish, among other exciting names. That is not the kind of transfer move a club that will finish 15th will be making this summer.
If Everton are able to land some of the names they are being linked with before 1 September, there is no reason why they can not aim for something big this season.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is expecting a big season from Everton
Dewsbury-Hall was announced as an Everton player on Wednesday, and the midfielder spoke incredibly well in his interview.
One thing that was made clear is the ambition which Dewsbury-Hall believes has been shown by the Toffees.
Dewsbury-Hall was wowed by Everton’s new stadium and feels that is a positive indication of the direction the club are headed.
“It makes it a very positive selling point and gives players a lot of confidence that the club are really having a go,” he said.
“A stadium like this can produce really good Premier League nights and days, and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
Hargreaves has shown a sound football knowledge over the years as a pundit, but surely he has got this one completely wrong.
