Everton and Fulham initiate contact for Argentine winger – Intermediary behind transfer process

Nico Gonzalez is one of the candidates to leave Juventus this summer and now, Everton and Fulham have been named as suitors for the winger.

The Argentina international joined the Old Lady from Fiorentina last summer but was never consistent enough to make a mark in the 2024/25 season, scoring only three times in Serie A.

TuttoSport report today that the winger’s exit will hand Juve enough funds to bring in Jadon Sancho from Manchester United. That is why they are actively trying to find suitors for Gonzalez, who is serious about playing for Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

An intermediary close to the winger’s agent is trying to attract interest from England. This has led to enquiries from Fulham and Everton, with the player having rejected approaches from Saudi Arabia.

The newspaper claims that playing in the Premier League could be the 27-year-old’s destiny, with Brentford and Tottenham having previously come forward for him.

Now, Everton and Fulham can find it relatively easy to sign the wide player, with Juve interested in selling him on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The Bianconeri don’t want to drag his sale for too long as it will impact their move for Sancho.

At this stage, it may just be names being thrown into the hat but it’s a situation to keep an eye on.
