‘Foundations being laid’ to sign Manchester United player – Potential €30-35m transfer

Manchester United are nearing a move for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško and this has increased doubts about Rasmus Højlund’s future at Old Trafford.

Corriere dello Sport report today that at AC Milan, ‘the foundations are being laid’ to sign the Dane this summer.

The newspaper explain Milan believe Šeško’s move to Old Trafford will make Højlund consider a return to Serie A, with the Rossoneri working with some of their well-known intermediaries to lay the groundwork.

It is understood that Milan want to convince Manchester United on an initial loan move with the option to buy worth €30m to €35m.

Many at Milan are convinced that the 22-year-old is the right man to improve Max Allegri’s attack this summer, with the Denmark international seen as an alternative to Juventus’ Dusan Vlahović.

A move for the Serbian is believed to be complex and that is why Milan are relying on help from intermediaries to deal with Manchester United for Højlund.

Inter Milan have previously tried to sign the striker but have not made any progress due to the Red Devils’ demands. The situation may change due to Šeško’s imminent arrival.
