Chelsea announce Spaniard has now completed summer move!

Spaniard Marc Guiu has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, CHELSEA have officially announced on the club website this week.

The Blues posted: ‘ The striker will continue his development at the newly-promoted club to build on a positive debut season at Chelsea.

‘Guiu made 16 appearances for Chelsea last season after arriving from Barcelona and struck six goals during our successful Conference League campaign.

‘Three of those came in a victory over Shamrock Rovers, a feat which resulted in Guiu becoming the second-youngest player (18 years and 350 days old) to net a hat-trick for Chelsea.

‘The 19-year-old also featured for the Blues at the Club World Cup, playing twice as we went on to be crowned world champions.

‘We look forward to supporting and monitoring Marc’s development throughout his loan at the Stadium of Light.

‘Good luck, Marc!’

IcChelseanews Says…

He should get alot more minutes than he has been at CHELSEA, he should improve over the next 12 months and he should come back next season ready to fight for that striker spot.

The Move to Stamford Bridge was too early for the lad, so as we have just said, this is a very good move for Guia to make as he will surely develop, and the fact that the Blues have kept him in England will also improve his game.

So good luck to the lad and hopefully he will enjoy his time at Sunderland
