Report: Everton open talks with the representatives of Juventus forward who 'has everything'

Everton have several wingers on their radar ahead of the final weeks of the window.

Angus Kinnear expected a busy start at Everton following his move from Leeds United at the start of the summer.

The Toffees have not even scratched the surface when it comes to transfers, as far as David Moyes is concerned.

With Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall now onboard, Everton are focusing their attention on attacking signings.

Everton have made numerous bids for Tyler Dibling from Southampton, with the youngster now pushing for a move.

However, there is a new name to emerge on the list of targets for Everton when it comes to adding a new winger before 1 September.

After hitting a stumbling block with Dibling earlier this week, Everton eyed six wingers as an alternative to the Southampton youngster.

There is now a new name believed to be on the Toffees’ radar, with contact already being made.

According to TuttoSport, Everton have now made contact with the representatives of Nico Gonzalez.

The Toffees are not alone, however. Fulham are also reported as being on the scene for the Argentine winger.

Juventus are keen to offload Gonzalez this summer, and intermediaries are seeking a potential move to the Premier League.

Everton have been told to pay all of Jack Grealish’s wages, but they could well turn their attention to the former Fiorentina forward.

The finances involved in a deal to land Dibling and Grealish have both proven an issue for Everton. Juventus’ willingness to sell Gonzalez could play into the hands of Kinnear.

Nico Gonzalez needs

During the 2024/25 campaign, Gonzalez started 23 Serie A games for Juventus, with an injury keeping him out of the early stages of the season.

These numbers may not inspire Everton fans hugely, given Moyes demanded more from Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom.

Juventus manager Igor Tudor has sung the praises of Gonzalez, despite looking to move him on this summer.

“Nico has everything: great availability, commitment, and a strong desire to give everything he has,” said the Juve manager.

If Everton were to bring in Gonzalez, they would certainly need to bring in another winger as his numbers from last season do leave a lot to be desired.
