Newcastle United and Adidas have teamed up to design a ‘timeless’ piece of merchandise ahead of the new Premier League season. On Thursday, the club launched the general sale of the new Newcastle United adidas 25/26 Samba Trainers.
They have been designed in The Magpies’ black and white home colours with the club’s iconic crest on the tongue and a sky blue heel tab influenced by the current home shirt. They also feature ‘NEWCASTLE’ in gold-foil text on the left shoe and ‘SAMBA’ on the right shoe.
Commenting on the trainers, Newcastle said: “Designed for the Toon, these black-and-white, Newcastle United designed adidas Sambas pay homage to this season’s home shirt. Channelling the classic look and feel of the authentic samba, these trainers are born to be a timeless icon of the north.”
The Newcastle United adidas 25/26 Samba Trainers are available for £100 from JD Sports and the Newcastle United Official Shop. It comes as the club gears up for the 2025/26 Premier League season, with Eddie Howe’s men facing Aston Villa in their opening fixture on August 16.
Last month, Newcastle dropped their 2025/26 Away Kit, featuring a nod to the ‘legendary’ Tyne Bridge. The predominantly green shirt has a green arching pattern and white trim on the collar and sleeves, alongside a monochromatic club crest.

It followed the 2025/26 Home Kit, with its iconic black and white stripes reimagined with a shepherd’s check pattern and ‘Howay the Lads’ displayed on the back of the neck. Both the home and away strips can be purchased at JD Sports and adidas.
Following the launches, many Newcastle fans took to social media to share their reactions. Writing on X, one said of the away kit: “Really good kit this.”

Another said: “Newcastle United always with the most iconic jersey. Thumbs up.”
Not every one is so keen though, as this fan said: “Green kits are always disgusting and blend in with the pitch. I don’t understand why so many clubs do it.”
While of the home kit, one said: “I must admit, it’s an absolute beauty.”
