Nottingham Forest player waiting permission to travel – Confidence on deal despite convoluted agreement

Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva is expected in Lisbon this week to complete a move to Sporting Club de Portugal, despite the deal becoming increasingly complicated.

That’s according to [O Jogo](https://www.ojogo.pt/) and [A Bola](https://www.abola.pt/), who both cover the situation around the Nottingham Forest man today.

O Jogo kick things off, reporting that Jota Silva is one small step away from becoming a Sporting player. The agreement between him and the Portuguese side is settled.

Sporting agreed a contract with him a week ago but still need to work out the details with Nottingham Forest.

There are currently ‘issues’ stopping that happening, but they are ‘surmountable’ issues that shouldn’t block his move this summer.

According to O Jogo, a loan with an option to buy or a partial transfer purchase of the Portuguese forward is currently on the table. The latter would see the two clubs share sporting rights and some of the financial rights.

Everything is moving forwards so that Jota can travel to Portugal this week and be officially confirmed as a Sporting player in the coming days.

A Bola, meanwhile, report that various agreements continue to be discussed between Sporting and Nottingham Forest.

The Portuguese side want a loan deal, but Nottingham Forest are committed to securing a permanent exit. Sporting don’t intend to delay the transfer anymore, though, and feel the situation is under control.

There are still some details to be worked out and the strongest possibility at the moment is that they both sign off on a loan deal with an option to buy according to the newspaper.

The idea of Sporting acquiring part of the player’s right for a lower, reduced amount has emerged in the last few hours and while the Portuguese side would prefer to avoid that, it is seen as a way to unlock the deal with Nottingham Forest.

Silva is waiting to be given permission to travel but the various parties are working to make that happen as quicky as possible.
