More than most players across world football, it is crucial for Jack Grealish to map out the remainder of his career.
The Manchester City winger is 29 and while he still has plenty of time left in the footballing world, the three-time Premier League winner is in the final years of what a player’s prime is widely considered.
As a result, Jack Grealish cannot afford to take a misstep in his career as his stock will plummet to the extent that clubs across Europe will hesitate to take a punt on him.
Grealish is keen on joining Everton on loan and understandably so, considering David Moyes could make him a regular starter and he has a track record of getting the best out of attackers — from Tim Cahill to Jarrod Bowen.

Jack Grealish should reject Everton and wait for Tottenham move
However, Tottenham Hotspur enquired about signing Grealish recently and while their interest was not considered serious, Spurs may very well try to secure his services after James Maddison has suffered an ACL injury.
From the former Aston Villa captain’s perspective, a loan or permanent move to Tottenham would be the best for his career instead of joining Everton in any capacity for a number of reasons.

Considering Thomas Tuchel still rates Grealish highly, if he were to join Spurs while competing and potentially even impressing in the Champions League, that would surely boost his chances of making the cut for England’s 2026 World Cup squad.
With Maddison potentially ruled out of the World Cup as he is set to miss most of the season, as per journalist Sami Mokbel, the Englishman would have a better shot at making the grade due to the former’s enforced absence — who is also a number 10.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is one of the best managers in the Premier League and Grealish could take his game to the next level under him as well — especially considering how the former Brentford boss transformed Mikkel Damsgaard into one of the best attacking midfielders in England last season.
It is also worth mentioning that the Lilywhites have a superior squad to Everton and while there are no guarantees in football, playing with a better group of players would boost Grealish’s chances of succeeding at Tottenham. Furthermore, the profiles in Tottenham’s squad suit the decorated wideman to a tee.
Dominic Solanke is a quality striker to create chances for, Dejan Kulusevski is an excellent number 10 to dovetail alongside and with Destiny Udogie being a traditional left-back like Matt Targett — a player who was key to the City star’s success at Villa out wide — the North Londoners could get the best out of him.
Harry Kane has already delivered honest Jack Grealish verdict
Tottenham legend Harry Kane was full of praise for Grealish and his comments may perhaps prompt Thomas Frank’s side to bring him in as Maddison’s replacement next season.
Kane told The Overlap in May 2021: “I love Jack, just love Jack as a player. Fantastic.”
“From when he came in and I started training with Jack, we just had a real connection.”
“He sees the game a lot how I see it in terms of how he passes, how he moves, always looking forward, always rapping balls in, trusting your team-mate to have the touch and be able to handle it. He’s a real player and one who’s going to be very special for the future.”
