Chelsea wonderkid produces more Champions League heroics with 90th minute winner

Chelsea have a host of talented, young players on their books currently playing around the world, and one of them is doing everything they can to set up a Champions League clash with the Blues this season.

Enzo Maresca was given a chance to get a look at Estevao Willian during the Club World Cup quarter-final when he lined up against them, scoring a fine goal in the process.

Maresca was impressed by Estevao, and he is now in training with his new teammates with an eye to making an impact during the 2025/26 season.

One player who will not be able to join up with the squad for another year at least is Dastan Satpaev, who is currently playing for top division Kazakhstan side Kairat Almaty.

Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev scores 90th minute winner in Champions League

Chelsea fans have been won over by Satpaev’s potential, and despite being just 16 he has already made his mark at senior level for both club and country.

His club are currently involved in a gruelling run to try and qualify for the group stages of the Champions League. They will need to win four two-legged ties to make it.

After winning their first two, and Satpaev playing a key role in their qualification, he has just made a massive impact on their penultimate tie against Slovan Bratislava.

After being awarded a 90th minute penalty, the youngster was handed the responsibility to step up and convert from 12 yards, which he did accordingly.

Satpaev in electric goalscoring form

Satpaev broke the record for youngest Champions League goalscorer earlier in the playoffs, and everything he touches seems to turn to gold right now.

His form in the domestic league is very strong too. Satpaev scored six goals in his first five league starts, and has now emerged as a crucial member of the first team squad.

With him already making his debut for the Kazakhstan national team, it looks as if there is a real chance the Blues could have a future star on their hands.

Chelsea have a coach working with Satpaev from now until he is officially at Stamford Bridge, where he could form part of a seriously exciting frontline.
