LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The Chicago Bears have completed 11 training camp practices as they prepare for their first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on August 10th, with real game action on the horizon. The Bears are set to have a joint practice with the Dolphins on Friday ahead of that preseason game and will do the same with the Buffalo Bills next week as well.
But with two weeks of training camp in the books, we have learned quite a bit about Ben Johnson's team in his first year.
Chicago kicked off training camp with 11 practices of install, hoping to get everything right before moving on to the next part of his plan. Yes, there were some ups and downs which are to be expected with a new coaching staff and a new offense. But overall, things haven't been awful.
With the fist two weeks down and the first preseason game on the horizon, now is a good time to take a stock watch on players. There have been players who have stepped up and made a good impression. And there have been players who have struggled a bit in camp. The good news is that there is still a lot of time to go in terms of practices and players have the chance to make their case if they are on the roster bubble or trending down with their stock.
Let's see what is trending up and what is trending down so far at training camp. Make sure to check with the Bear Report for complete coverage of training camp moving forward.
