Wolves defender Hugo Bueno has been impacted by the arrival of David Moller Wolfe, sources close to Molineux News understand.
Vitor Pereira welcomed Moller Wolfe to his squad, with the Norwegian unveiled as Wolves’ third signing of the summer.
The 23-year-old arrived from AZ Alkmaar after a series of impressive performances for the Dutch side and Norway’s national team.
Jorgen Strand Larsen was an advocate for Wolves signing Moller Wolfe, who has crossed paths with the striker at international level.
While the defender arrives already having supporters in the Wolves squad, not everyone has been left delighted by his arrival.

Hugo Bueno unsettled by David Moller Wolfe’s arrival
Moller Wolfe’s transfer to Wolves isn’t good news for Bueno.
As a result, Bueno’s exit links have re-emerged, with the new signing in line to be Pereira’s starting left-wing-back.
When speaking to Molineux News’ transfer expert Graeme Bailey, it became clear that Bueno’s future at Wolves is in jeopardy.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Bailey explained that Moller Wolfe’s arrival has left Bueno with a feeling of unsettlement.
“When I spoke to Wolves, they refused to say who would be a starter. I think Bueno is a little bit aggrieved that he’s not been given that chance, I believe.”
The transfer expert then noted that Wolves won’t be keeping an unhappy player at the club, suggesting that a transfer could be on the horizon for Bueno.
“I think Moller Wolfe will become the starter; he’s a player they were after for a long time.
“They won’t want to keep unhappy players, I think there’s a possibility he goes, he does have a bit of interest.”
Robin van Persie wanted to keep Bueno at Feyenoord, being one of several clubs to have shown an interest in signing the Spaniard.
How Moller Wolfe compares to Bueno
Against Girona, it was Rodrigo Gomes who started at left-wing-back, with Bueno coming on as a substitute.
Though the Spaniard showed his quality, Wolves aren’t willing to sell Gomes this summer, which naturally makes Bueno more likely to depart as competition rises in the position.

Hugo Bueno vs David Moller Wolfe 2024/25 Eredivisie – Sofascore
Wolves are long-term admirers of Moller Wolfe, which puts the 23-year-old in line to be a starter, but his and Bueno’s 2024/25 Eredivisie campaigns are difficult to separate.
The duo were similarly strong in attacking areas, with Moller Wolfe coming out on top with four more goal contributions than Bueno.
However, when it came to crossing and key passes per game, it was Bueno who rose above Moller Wolfe.
With the chance to make a big profit there for Wolves, it will be fascinating to see what the Old Gold decide to do with the left-back.
