These days, the 41-year-old Gostkowski lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where he lives with his wife and three children. He currently works as an NFL analyst for Sports USA radio along with former teammates James White and Rob Ninkovich.

Gostkowski has also worked as a special teams assistant at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville. Gostkowski’s son, Slayden, plays as a tight end/wide receiver. Slayden also plays basketball and baseball.

Gostkowski was born in Louisiana and went on to become a football star at Madison Central High School in Madison, Mississippi. After a stellar college career at Memphis, Gostkowski was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft, unusually early for a kicker.

The pick worked out well for New England as Gostkowski quickly locked down the placekicking job.

Gostkowski remained a steady presence at kicker for over a decade, especially in the playoffs. Gostkowski had an average field goal percentage of 87.4% during the regular seaosn in New England.

In 2020, Gostkowski left New England to sign with the Tennessee Titans. He hit 69.2% of his field goals that year, which marked his final season on an NFL roster.

Gostkowski remains the Patriots’ all-time leading scorer with a mark of 1,775. Only two other Patriots have over 1,000 with the franchise, kicker Adam Vinatieri (1,158) and wide receiver/kicker Gino Cappelletti (1,130)
