Women’s Kopa Trophy
Having lit up the Euros and been named Young Player of the Tournament, 19-year-old Michelle Agyemang has been recognised with a nomination for the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best female player under 21.
She’ll compete with Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid), Vicky Lopez (Barcelona), Wieke Kaptein (Chelsea), and Claudia Martinez Ovando (Club Olimpia).
Women’s Yashin Trophy
Daphne van Domselaar, who kept a clean sheet in the Champions League final, is up for the Yashin Trophy, which honours the world’s best goalkeeper. The Dutch stopper, who joined from Aston Villa last summer, quickly established herself as Slegers’ number one.
She’s up against Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham FC), Cata Coll (Barcelona), Hannah Hampton (Chelsea), and Chiamaka Nnadozie (Brighton).
Women’s Coach of the Year
Renee Slegers is in the running for Coach of the Year after guiding Arsenal to a historic second Champions League title. Appointed permanent head coach in January, she masterminded a dramatic European run that culminated in a 1-0 win over favourites Barcelona in Lisbon.
She faces competition from Sarina Wiegman (England), Justine Madugu (Nigeria), Sonia Bompastor (Chelsea), and Arthur Elias (Brazil).
Women’s Club of the Year
As Champions of Europe, Arsenal Women are also up for Club of the Year, where they’ll go head-to-head with Barcelona, Chelsea, Lyon and Orlando Pride.
