This could be a second blow for Eddie Howe and his team on Tyneside, following reports that Wissa is also being targeted by Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
According to , the DR Congo international has been the subject of an approach from Al-Nassr in recent days - a development that could be a blow to Newcastle if they choose to re-enter negotiations with the Bees.
The Saudi Pro League club is reportedly prepared to meet Brentford’s demands and is currently discussing ways to convince the club, the player, and his representatives to join in the Middle East.
