The New York Knicks have had a solid offseason thus far as they have made multiple moves to upgrade their bench.

Of course, the Knicks began their offseason by making the shocking decision to fire head coach Tom Thibodeau after reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000 last season.

After about a month of interview with multiple candidates, they hired two-time Coach of the Year Mike Brown as Thibodeau’s replacement.

During free agency, New York signed Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to address some key needs in their second unit, which was a major issue for them last season.

They also signed Mikal Bridges to a massive four-year contract extension, though it did take some time to do that as they were reportedly waiting on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s decision to potentially leave the Milwaukee Bucks.

After awaiting Giannis’ decision, the Knicks felt as though he was not going to leave Milwaukee as they finalized a contract extension for Bridges but a report by ESPN’s Shams Charania has kept the door open for Giannis to potentially leave the Bucks at some point in the near future.

Because of this, Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes recently released a mock trade that would send Giannis to New York in a three-team deal including the Brooklyn Nets.

In the trade, the Knicks would receive Giannis from the Bucks while they would send Karl-Anthony Towns and three first-round picks to Milwaukee.

New York would also send Josh Hart and two second-round picks to the Nets while Brooklyn would send Danny Wolf to the Bucks.

This is an interesting trade for every team involved, especially the Knicks as they would finally acquire Giannis after targeting him for multiple seasons.

Of course, moving on from both Towns and Hart would be a tough decision for the Knicks to make but to add Giannis to their core of Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby and Bridges would likely have New York as the favorite to come out of the East next season and for years to come.

Despite this, Giannis still has not demanded a trade out of Milwaukee and many teams around the league do not expect him to do so.

Even if he does demand a trade, there are multiple teams around the NBA that could offer the Bucks a much better package of draft capital and young players that would help in their rebuild, which could hinder the Knicks’ chances of landing him.
