Fans of the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t used to good news lately.
And even though no one knows how next season will go for the often-injured team, at least they will be looking good in 2025-26.
According to Basketball Forever, the Sixers are bringing back their classic black retro jerseys from the Allen Iverson era for the new year.
“After years of discussion, Philly finally revives a fan favorite jersey,” the report said.

The players will look great in these black, stark jerseys.
However, it’s not clear which ones will actually suit up enough next season.
Paul George is going to miss training camp with his injury, and there are big worries that Joel Embiid won’t be ready to start the year – again.
Injuries will already be a problem for the Sixers in 2025-26.
But it’s not that the injuries are flaring up again, because they never really went away.
Things are getting so concerning with Embiid that some people are whispering about him never being at 100 percent again.
Will he ever be able to play like he used to?
And are George’s best days behind him, or will he be able to get and stay healthy?
There are some up-and-comers in the lineup and other reasons for the team to be optimistic, even if players like Embiid and George are having troubles.
Regardless, fans will be excited to see these jerseys again.
It’s been a long time since they have been worn, and the last time they were used, the team was in much better shape.
Even if these uniforms don’t transform their fate, they will look fantastic in motion.
