Sources: When Benjamin Sesko is set to undergo his Man United medical, £74m deal nearly done

TBR Football can exclusively confirm Manchester United’s plans to get the Benjamin Sesko deal over the line after the club struck an agreement with RB Leipzig over the striker.

The Red Devils have been busy on the transfer front this summer with big-money acquisitions Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo already through the door.

Newcastle United were in pursuit of Benjamin Sesko but Manchester United have stolen a march on him and have now got a deal over the line.

TBR Football can confirm when Sesko plans to come to England for his medical and when Man United are looking to unveil him.

Benjamin Sesko expected to fly to Manchester United in the next 24 hours

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands Man United have reached agreement with RB Leipzig and also with Sesko.

United have agreed a deal with €85million (around £74million) with €6.5million (around £5.5million) of that in add-ons.

We can also confirm that United have reached agreement on a five-year deal with Sesko.

The Slovenia international is expected to fly to England in the next 24 hours ahead of his medical.

As TBR Football revealed, Man United’s plan was to present Sesko at Old Trafford on Saturday ahead of their pre-season clash with Fiorentina.

At just 22 years of age, Sesko is still in the early stages of his career and, despite being world-class already, has the potential to become even better.

Charles Watts recently said of Sesko: “Everyone you talk to – who knows football far better than I do – seems to think that Sesko has it in him to become one of the best strikers in the world, because of the attributes he has.”

Meanwhile, teammate Yusuf Poulsen previously told TNT Sports, as per the Daily Mail: “As a striker, he’s the best I’ve played with.
