Chelsea have advanced talks over a deal to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to David Ornstein.
The Blues have been very interested in a deal for the Argentina winger all summer, with their interest stretching back to the January window when Garnacho was initially linked with an exit away from Old Trafford.
But the clubs have now stepped up talks over a move for the 21-year-old, with Chelsea said to be advancing following United's move to sign Benjamin Sesko.

Garnacho was told by Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim to find a new club before the end of the 2024/25 season, and was ultimately left out of the club's pre-season tour of the USA this summer so he could sort out his future.
Now Ornstein has revealed for The Athletic that Garnacho has rejected all possible routes out of Old Trafford that don't lead directly to Stamford Bridge, and he is willing to stay put at Man Utd if he doesn't get his move.
Man Utd have set their value for the forward at £70m and have communicated that to interested clubs, but it's believed Chelsea would want to pay less.
It's also stated that Garnacho expects to move to Chelsea this summer, with the clubs locked in talks for some time.
United's move for Benjamin Sesko is worth £73.7m and their priority is now on sales, with Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho all expected to leave before the transfer window closes.
