When most Seattle Seahawks fans heard about Micah Parsons’ trade demand, they hoped it would mean that general manager John Schneider would be on the phone looking to secure a trade. Unfortunately, to this point, there hasn’t been much progress on Parsons’ exit from Dallas.
In fact, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems rather insistent that he’ll get a deal done with his star pass rusher, even if he doesn’t feel confident in having Parsons available in Week 1. At any rate, it certainly seems that this saga won’t end any time soon.
That can give Seahawks fans plenty of time to daydream about a potential trade. Many other fanbases will be doing exactly the same thing. Of course, there’s a nightmare scenario concerning one potential Parsons landing spot that’s a bit more targeted for Seahawks fans.
Rams legend hints at comeback that would reshape the Seattle Seahawks' NFC West
In the comment section of an Instagram post alluding to Parsons landing with the Los Angeles Rams, one of the best Rams defenders, and overall NFL players, of all time, left a comment that struck fear into the entire NFC West. Aaron Donald suggested he would have to consider coming out of retirement if Parsons is traded to the Rams.

The frustrating aspect, of course, is that it’s a move that makes sense for the Rams and follows their typical business practices. Ahead of their recent trips to the Super Bowl, they loaded up on star power through trades and free agency. While they’ve cooled on that practice in recent years, nothing is stopping them from doing it again by trading for Parsons.
The Rams ranked 22nd in the NFL in sacks with 38 total. They didn’t have a single defender record double-digit sacks, though they did find promising help upfront with their own draft picks. Jared Verse was the Defensive Rookie of the Year, Braden Fiske led the team with 8.5 sacks, and Byron Young and Kobie Turner were right behind him.
Still, for all the promise that the young core showed in 2024, it’s not as though anyone is turning down the opportunity for Donald and Parsons to share the field on the same defense. It’s not as though Donald retired in the twilight of his career. He had eight sacks and 16 TFLs in his final season, in which he was named First-Team All-Pro at age 32.
Needless to say, even with Donald at 34 now, this is not a scenario Seahawks fans want to see play out. The Rams are dangerous enough without Donald, let alone Donald and Parsons.
